Diesel MPG

Making 580/1100 to the wheels on fuel only in my daily driver. I get anywhere from 14 to 16 around town with a pretty heavy foot. 19 - 21 at highway cruise depending on speed.
11 MPG towing 10K as fast as I want.

Our new shop truck is an 05 2500HD ccsb 4x4 LLY/allison 6in lift and 325/60r20 BFG KO Alt's. When we got the truck it was only averaging 12.4 mpg because of the big tires/lift. First we put an AEM Brute Force polished intake, Silverline 4" Dual exhuast turbo back system, Bully Dog Triple Pup w/Outlook monitor and EFILive software programming stacked to do different things, A FASS Fuel supply system 150/95 pump, egrblockoff plate. These mods got us a much quieter, smoother running motor, cooler engine temps, more gas like throttle response from the diesel, and about 100hp more but the big deal is the improvement in fuel economy! Now even on performance mode on the bully dog we are averaging 21mpg and if you put the cruise on at 62mph the average shoots up to 30+mpg and the motor is silent! It is unbelievable what a difference these few mods did for the daily driveability and the truck doesn't smoke and the tips are clean. When the dyno is installed then we will see how much power I can get out of it while trying to maintain these charactoristics. I HIGHLY recommend the FASS fuel system on all three brands, it is a must!

How exactly are you calculating this 30 plus miles per gallon? If you are getting this off the DIC you are unfortunately way off on your numbers.
Is your speedo corrected for the large tires? Run the numbers with your true miles and I bet it would be more like 18 to 20. I know my 2005 LLY does not have 600 plus mile range and I have never heard of such a number by the thousands of other Duramax owners that post about their mileage.

this weekend i tracked my mpg as follows in an 06 C/C long bed 4X4
towing a 30' boat: 13.2 mpg
driving 75mph with c/c on: 17 mpg
stop and go vegas traffic form vegas to baker: 15 mpg
driving around town: 14.5 mpg
i noticed that if you drive any faster than 75 the milege rapidly decreases

I think these 20+ numbers are bull ****.
My new 07 classic LBZ gets anywhere from 16-18.5 mpg. It has never broken 19. and I doubt it ever will. A truck with this much torque and HP is not going to get more mpg than a honda
. I just don't think its possible unless your going 55mph with no stops.
