I heard that with propane injected that it is possable to get an extra 10 to 12 mpg.

I seriously dont think so, I could see maybe 1-2 mpg according to driving style. But 10-12?

Actually Marc Deluca on the Diesel Place has stretched his Duramax out to 60 miles on a gallon of diesel while consuming a gallon of liquid propane every 20 miles.

It is pretty amazing what you can do with a good propane system to stretch fuel economy.

You gotta figure in the cost of the pane to the picture and where you can get it filled. The systems are safe if done right and can add around 100 HP. Anything more than that and you run into timing issues and risk grenading it.

i dought it would be very cost effective. propane is more expensive then deisel fuel and you are only getting 20 mpg for propane, plus you have to add the cost of the deisel on that also.
