Lmao. Now that would be easy to set up to run a 5.7 Tundra

How bout a 4l80e swap? Just throwin it out there. Not sure how fast those 4500s are to shift.

But the basic intake, exhaust and tune should wake it up.

get a set of the obx ebay long tube headers that come with a y-pipe... that is if they dont do emissions testing where you are. i have the same truck, '01 sclb 2500hd with 6.0L and nv4500 4x4. basically it just has a k&n drop in filter, and obx long tubes+y-pipe and straight through exhuast. i have a vortech v2 kit missing parts im still waiting to throw on. felt a little bit of difference in the way it runs with the longtubes.

With an efi live tune and some type of exhaust you should be able to run from that tundra. I've got a 2500hd with the nv4500 myself and I can shift it just as fast as any other manual transmission i've driven, Its not an old 4 speed from the 70's. The difference in power from the auto tranny HD's to the manual tranny HD's is night and day. I'm pretty happy with the way it runs with just efi live and a maggy exhaust but i'm looking into charging it sometime in the near future, along with a set of long tubes. I certainly would not change out the clutch fan for a set of electric fans if you plan to use the truck as a truck. The amount of power you gain from swapping over, not to mention the time and material cost doesn't justify it enough for me.

x2 on the efans

I just got a 2500hd myself but it's a ccsb 4x4 and it already has a magnaflow and a 4" intake I had on my tahoe. I was looking at the vinci trucker cam or something similar later on down the road...but dreaming big I'd like a tvs or mp112 one day

I've dreamed of one of those vinci cams and honestly its probably the route i'll go one day BUT, i'd rather do FI first just because. Me and roger were talking a couple months ago and for a 2500hd he said a good cam would be the butt kicker, IF you're looking to help with torque and stuff. If you're going for all out power, which i'm really not, then the trucker would be more up your alley.
I been contemplating the idea of a turbo system now over the blower only due to the fact that in the end its going to be cheaper for me, not to mention it will net more power, I do love that sound of those MP112's tho, got dayum.
