ya im waiting for the boss to get back from upstate NY. so i can argue with him about this. they want to charge me a 20% restocking fee it was 1697 for this piece of **** so its like taken a 400 dollar hit. no way. and this 32k motor has more than a 100 you should see the carbon

so i talked to them and it almost came out to me getting screwed outa 200 bucks and bringing the motor back and getting my money back minus the 200. then the guy called me and told me about this motor they found in Maine with 25 k on it. Its from a truck that had a GM replacement motor put in from GM. so hopefully this one is find and everything is good

Dude, bail out of there. They already sold you a crap motor, you're just going to end up with someone's garbage. Get the motor from a reputable source like LKQ that tests the engines.

you better hope it was pulled by GM for pistol slap and not something like no oil pressure.

unfortunate the situation with your motor. hopefully you get that worked out.
as far as youre question about amsoil, I ran it in my ls1 trans am for about a month, when I dumped it out it was no different than any other used oil, (dark and felt thin and broken down). except the pain I felt from my hard earned dollars being dumped in a pan and seeing no advantage worth $15 a quart, I was also running an amsoil filter. I will say it was some slick stuff and the car seemed to rev quicker off idle but thats it, some say running the 5w40 amsoil helps piston slap but Im sure most heavier weight oils will also do that. also Im going to be running ls1 fans on my 00 6.0l, and hopefully an electric water pump too
