Yes you can get rid of the FPCM. There are also ways to make it work.

What he said. I chose to keep it and have found a way to increase its output significantly. Just for reference, I have a walbro 450 in stock bucket, with the stock jet tube filling the bucket, stock filter, rollover valve, etc. I can run it completely empty without starving the pump. No holes drilled in the bucket. I'm running fic 1000cc injectors, 14 lbs of boost on e85 fuel, injector duty cycle never goes above 65% and the fuel pressure it 50-60psi cruising and 70-80psi under full boost all the way to shift point. Stock fuel lines and rails. No check engine lights, run it til the low fuel light comes on, everything appears and works like factory.

would be interested in hearing your set up, been running a flex pump assembly and getting the fpcm code, would love to run my original bucket and a 450 if it'll cure moy woes

Gm fuel pump hotwire kot pr build your own fuel pump relay harnes.
Also a kenny bell boost a pump cranls the voltage up from 12-14 to over 16, this increases fp output significantly

are you running this through a return style or returnless style system
