imo , the carb / spider intakes are superior to the car/stock/fast intakes just becasue the more even distribution of air. i think erik turbochargedberserker posted some info on intakes recently. not to mention most of the big dogs are running them with fi and parish's truck had some decent results. im sure erik will have the same. im going to be hitting the dyno with mine soon also.

yea i seen parish switched ot one but didnt know how much gain he saw. and i think i can do the carb'd for alot less then the fast 90. and if thats the case thats 2 birds with one stone. and which will probably be something i pick up then with enough info backing a carb'd intake

You won't see much of an improvement if any with the fast 90. Go with the carbed intake.

Really? I haven't seen that yet, I've read a lot about the FAST when I was debating between it and the Vic on Tech and never came accross that.

Yes, there have been reports of them blowing apart if you don't follow the "high boost" instructions from FAST (take it apart, epoxy all the seams).

get to go vic jr can be had for ~$700 including the elbow or down draft adaptor plate (what I use). I believe the FAST 90 total (rails, etc.) is closer to $1300.

Here's the sticky "hard data" link I posted.

https://www.performancetrucks.net/fo...d.php?t=397720

You can see by the flow data how good these vic jrs are, and by the torque comparo that there is not much / no torque lost compared to other manifolds.
