I know another thread about a 6.0l swap from a 0 post member. I've actually done a lot of searching and havent seen anything about the 07 tahoe's though. Is it still just a bolt up deal with a pcm tune? I read somewhere that 07 tahoes are different than others but never saw any info to back it up. The reason I ask is because I was looking to buy a 07 with a 5.3. After searching I realize a 6.0 is the way to go and if I can just buy the 4.8 I'll swap a 6.0 as soon as I pick it up. Any help appreciated.

if you wanna swap a 6.0 on a 2007 tahoe you wanna do a L76 swap but since you are already doing swap just get a l92 6.2 engine but you'll probably have to upgrade your trans too....

 

Honestly, get a 5.3, pull the motor and buy a LS2 bare block, ls2 pistons and assemble with all the 5.3 parts. You can use an LS2 cam and valve springs and have a 400 hp engine (30+ more than L76). Or you can put in a bigger cam/springs and have 440+ hp. This should all cost less than actually buying a L76 also.

 

id buy a tahoe with the 4.8 and do the 6.2!
you already know it will fit b/c the denali and escalade are on the same platform and they use this engine...
