From 3.73's - 4.10's
#1
Ok guys, i know this topic has probably been beaten to death, but i just lifted my truck 3" and i just had 33" tires installed on my ECSB 5.3 silverado. It has 3.73's with a brand new G80. now and i do travel ocasionally on the freeway. I IMMEDIATLY noticed how much slower the tires made my truck. I have been toying with the idea of swapping in some 4.10's.
Will it be worth it?
Will i have the same performance as i did b 4 the tires?
Which brand?

1: depends on the person, 2: probaly, 3: yukon, superior, motive
I recommend 4.30's for performance you can really feel and go ahead and get an aftermarket lsd. (true-trac, eaton,) The g80's are junk, i know from experience.

Yes
I find mine to be better
I got used GM gears.
LOVE the swap. Except in the rain, but I think the tires I have are part of that issue. (I have 305/70 Mickey Thompson ATZ's) it tends to be hard to keep the tires from spinning in the rain, even in 4wd. But the guy I got the tires from had them on a 4.8 (stock) 4x4 and said they were bad in the rain on his truck too. I figured it may have something to do with MY truck, but not sure
