Talking I installed the Dynatech headers today!!!

I got them yesterday and installed them today at my buddies shop. Well since my exhaust is custom I think it screw up the fit on them, but I still got it done. I started at 8:30 and got done at 3:30!!!! Exhasut work is the worst. Every problem that could go wrong did. I am exhausted no (no pun intended). Then I fired it up and nothing, the last kick in the nutz, was I forgot to install the neg battery cable . I installed it started it up and no codes or lights, it did idle funny like it was gonna die then idled fine. I think its worth paying someone to install them, but I hate exhaust work. I think I may have a exhaust leak funny whining sound like a supercharger when driving. AND THIS THING HAULS MONKEY NUTZ. Unbelieveable low end it amazing and a 30 and 70 both downshift pull way harder than before. They are also turning gold on me.

Anyway happy new year guys!!!!!

I thought the drivers side was suppose to be hard to put on? The passenger side was way harder. You guys should see all the looks I am getting when driving by people. The sound is amazing what I wanted for a while.

The first problem, installed both headers 2 bolts on both sides started funny so I immediatly backed them out had to clean the treads and my buddy installed them. Then when I both both headers up and bolted on I installed the drivers side cat and the passenger side, on then I couldnt get the large piece that connects to the middle of the exhaust in both holes and everything turn right and lined up. WE had to pry on my exhaust system to get everything to fit. Once that was all up I couldnt count how many times I took out O2 sensors and the crossmember back and forth. Then when everything was done, the header gasket was blocking the back spark plug hole. If it wasnt for all his tools wierd ones that you would think never be used I wouldnt have got done. So we had to take a long screwdriver and pound up on the lip that was covering it to get the back passenger spark plug in. Everything didnt fit as well as I would like but I think it was becasue the exhasut was lenghtened in the middle of the truck.

The clearance around the passenger side was really good and the driver side was great. I have about 1.5 inches from the steering shaft!
