Well guys I went out to do a 0-60 times to see if it improved any. Well my 0-60 times are around 10 sec now was6.5- 6.7 before, maybe becasue there is no way to go full throttle at a start without the *** end wanting to turn on me. I went on a lane in the middle of the country were noone was at. Pulled uo and used a stopwatch just to get a feel on how it runs, stomped on it and all I got was spinning for 20 feet or so let off and hit 60 in 10 sec. I think a low 6 maybe squeek in a very high 5. The only problem I dont like with them now is 2 things 1. ground clearance is low, I dont know why but when I back up on a slight incline or ovler a pile of gravel and I can hear something scrap??? I am gonna check tomorrow to see if something didnt come loose or not. And when you turn a corner the exhaust is so tight I can feel it bang back and forth. Other than that I know I am making way over 255 rwhp this thing pulls way more harder than it did with the Superchips tuner.

How was the clearance where the driver's side makes the turn at the tranny crossmember? That's where my problem is - about 1/8". I need to fix it.

those headers are the ones that come with the cats right?

i thought those were supposed to be easy to bolt on? i thought about getting some, but i might wait until i get a new truck since my manifold bolts are probably rusted on.

what borla do you have? is it a catback or just the muffler? i am assuming you have just the muffler, because my catback is pretty quiet?

Yes, they come with cats and y-pipe, and I do just have the Borla universal 3 inch in dual 2 1/4 out. This is my first set of headers and the lowend is simply amazing, on dry pavement it just roasts my tires and I have 285 50 16 tires and 3.42 gears. The throttle response is also improved were my truck would feel like it would lag from the start it just takes off. By far provided way more power than the Superchips programmer. And my buddy said the note of the exhaust would change and did it and it sounds mean.

Let the saving begin.......can you get a vid/sound clip of those bad boys?

Was everything pretty much bolt up with those? I don't want to do any cutting.

Yes, and no problems. My buddy drove the truck and he said since I am not use to headers they will make a as he described it (a tin can noise) no clearance problems everything seems to be tight. I still may have aquired a slight exhaust leak but nothing outrageous. Flux you shouldnt have to cut anything from the truck at all. BTW the sound is awesome, I heard a LS1 rev up yesterday with a Borla exhaust and I did the same and my truck was alot louder than his car but it was in a good way. Can someone explain to me how you record something and post it over the internet? Also I havent had anymore banging or anything of the sort for the past4 day now? I dont know if everything was just getting settled. Only one problem since the install I had to go out and buy a 40 dollar roll of MSD spard plug wire protector that slips over the spark plugs. Guys if you do headers make sure that you buy this before the install and install it when the headers go on. In 2 days I almost fried 2 of my wires on the drivers side.
