Pump looked pretty good, checked out good with a feeler gauge. Checked endplay, had about 0.007” rear end play and about 0.011” front end play. I reckon that my $35 amazon dial indicator is within 0.0015” accuracy. So I’ll call that a win. Need to build a tool for checking the reverse servo pin travel. I have one spare 4l80e that needs a rebuild and has been sitting outside for a long time, I’m gonna steal its servo cover and build my own tool from it. The transmission work has been taking longe

Found the reason the fluid was dirty. Forward clutch material really stuck in the carrier. Smelled like clutch material as well when I cracked it open. Clutches themselves looked ok. Probably from towing and downshifting in to first gear a billion times. Replaced big piston. Inner seal looked ok so I didn’t change it because I don’t really have a way to press the new seal on. Changed bushing for input shaft. Old one looked worn and felt weird, shaft looked ok and felt smooth though 🤷🏼‍♀️.

.007 should be ok.

Pulled dash from the LT truck. Going to swap hvac stuff, the dash, and either (maybe) door panels/regulators/mirrors or headliner tomorrow. Pretty much ready to tackle any GMT800 heater core at this point.

Gonna leave the 4wd lever on the floor so I can more readily swap from np263 to 261 with minimal mods (Incase I break my t-case). I like being able to utilize either option. Don't really care about the ripped seat, it was a work after all.

Swapped vinyl head rests from the WT seats to the cloth ones to match vinyl on the top of the center console. Think it looks ok, very subtle.

Got the 12 volt pinned in for power seat. Ran my ground to the stud under the passenger side. Taped everything up nice just like factory leading up to the driver seat. Looks very nice.
