I have a 2005 5.3L that came out of a silverado, The pistons have a "cross" or "+" on them If anyone has a few used pistons I can buy at a decently cheap price let me know, I only need one but would like 2 or 3 just in case, thanks

I got your PM, and here is a pic of the motor I got, hard to see but they do have the cross on the pistons, I'm wondering how this happened? it was just a 115,000 mile 2005 stock daily driven truck(well from what I was told) Almost looks like it had melted at the top, or a possible hydrolock and caused piston to crack?? Ideas

 

The great thing about these motors is that it seems the cylinder walls are strong, there is no ring ridge, or scaring on the cylinder. There is a few faint vertical marks but nothing a ball hone could remove.

 

You looking for a complete set or just 1 ? hard to tell but that def looks like it broke, and didn't melt.
