Default antenna delete/mod

I'm looking to delete my antenna on my 04 silverado, and I'm looking for the passenger side cowl vent, part #15287179. I've done a general google search and I know it's a discontinued part, and I know there are other options. I'm just trying to go this route first. If anyone has one they would like to sell it would be appreciated.

From what I understand it was on a 03-06 cadillac escalade, and as an option on a tahoe of the same year. But the part was interchangeable on sierra's and silverado's from 99-06.

So, dumb question if you delete the antenna, what do you do for radio reception? I prpbably already know the answer, but curious how you are?

You don't actually delete the antenna you just move it to a less visible position, for a more cleaner look. Some people claim to have worse radio reception.... But I don't listen to the radio anymore too much B/S, I listen to music on my phone through bluetooth.

yep, just run it under the top of the fender by the hood. I bought one from the dealership for both my last trucks and was smart enough to remove it from my last truck before I sold it and put it on my current one. Good thing because they are hard to find. Look at escalades like you said, try Craigslist to find people parting them out. I doubt that part crosses their mind as special. Most people worry about seats, consoles, door handles, engine, etc... You might find one for like $5.00

Guys also use the hidden mount antennas inside and double side tape them to windshield up behind the tint strip
