There aren't any OEM 4.56 gears and figured if I can find a set of 4.10s cheap enough I'd try them and if I didn't like them could always sell them and get the 4.56s

i was going to get 4.10s but decided that there wouldnt be that much of a diffence of my stock 3.73s ans since im going to pay have them installed ( : / first time letting my truck go to the shop to get worked on) i would go with the 4.56s and just be done with it.

I'll be doing the install myself and I planned on just doing the rear at first to see how I liked it. I want to try an experiment and see which one gives me better mileage unloaded. With the 6L80e I can just downshift into 5th if I'm towing and need more gear. Plus you can get factory 4.10s which are really quiet and you can't with 4.56. So if the 4.10s got me where I wanted I'd just keep them.

Dude, just get the cheap gears from Ron's, every set I've done (about 8 sets now) has been dead silent, just set them up right and roll. OEM or not, used gears aren't the way to go IMO unless you're in a pinch. I'll be swapping my 3.02's for some 3.90's when my 07 gets tires and leveled this fall.

Which ones are the "cheap" ones? Theyve got motive and usa standard, theyre both cheap. With those gears and complete rebuild kits for both axles Id only be into it for about $800
