Are you trying to hit 170?
IF so wouldnt you wanna be turning a lil less RPMs when you get there?

Ive never done any of the mile stuff so im just thinking out loud..

If it were me, id go 3.08s so you dont have the engine way up in the RPMs the last 1/4 mile. You should be at about 5700-5800 at 170 with 3.08s, but 6500-6600 at 170 with 3.42s..

Unless you get it into OD and lock the converter?
then it might be about 4400 with 3.08s at 170 and 4800 at 170 with 3.42s.

I guess it all depends on if you wanna trap in 3rd or 4th?
