Yeah, Tucson to LA takes about 8 with a big tank and a big bladder. Both of which I've got. 
I bite, but not hard. A track day at Speedworld or Firebird would be worthwhile for me since our track here sucks donkey *****. Who wants to give me a 2hr tow home when I put this 4.8 out of it's misery.

I will!! I have experience doing that (right Chris?
) And I have a trailer hookup 
. If we do it on a Sat, we could do a GTG of some sorts and SpeedWorld has Saturday Night street drags most every weekend.

i'm game either way, my pass fender may not be fixed but still good to go plus I will be back from my visit back east beginning of Jan.
We made the drive from LA to the Phoenix area in a little over 6hrs with a few quick stops as well over summer
