Default Thrown together AR

I bought some cheap AR kits from Delton and didnt take long till i had burnt out the barrel, they only tale tale sign was bullets tumbling at 10yds
It had seen its fair share of abuse and over heating. Had sighted it in at 25meters and checked zero at 300 with cheap Tula 55gr. It was on the verge of a 7" group so i was happy as that weekend we went to Camp Mccain to shoot the Qualification course for the M16s. Scored really good, 35 out of 40 hits with irons. But by the end of the day the hits were getting less and less.
The very last relay we got a 60 second "Shoot what you dont want to take home". I had loaded all my mags, swapped lowers from my bull barrel AR that had a Jard 1.5# trigger and got ready. The targets appeared very fast and not long at all. By the end of the 60 seconds my handguards were starting to melt so i just dropped the rifle. Haha. I had spent almost 400rds and was having a good ole time!
The next day it was tumbling every bullet i tried.
Anyway, i replaced the cheap barrel with a Daniel Defense M4 7 twist and put a YHM carbine length free float hand guard.
Killed a ton of deer and hogs with it since then. Tried to check zero at 200yds last time i took some friends to the range. Lets just say it looked like buckshot. The loads use to do 1.5 MOA very easy. I knew something was up. Cleaned the barrel and everything. Got it out of the vice and my finger hit the rear scope ring, i felt so dumb. The nut was loose DOH!

Figured oh well, it needed some loving since its gone since july since it got a cleaning besides the water hose.

Tried 40gr vmax, 77gr nosler CC, and some winchester ranger 55gr soft points my buddy gave me, they use them on their SWAT team so he wanted to know how good they grouped.

Winchester Rangers 55gr soft point = fail
1.5moa is my limit, these things wouldnt do better than 2moa

Next was my hand loaded 40gr Vmax. Heafty dose of varget, New LC brass, cci 450 primer.
Suprised me big time!! Never seen a 7 twist 223 barrel group a 40gr bullet well at all.
measured .520"

Ive always loved shooting the heaviest Bullet my rifles will group.
Here is the 77gr NCC, new LC brass 23.5gr varget, cci 450 primer, seated mag length. Grouped .445"
Now i was really excited.

I knew it could do MOA. But never thought it would group 40gr and also 77gr at or under .5 MOA. Especially being just a parts gun that was thrown together and gets abused basically daily and really good on weekends.

Anyway i couldnt sleep so i wrote a novel for yall jokers that do t have anything better to do than play on PT. Back to work now!!

I can't wait 'til I'm not so broke that I can build an AR. I'll deal with the stupid laws, the more I read, the more I want one. Trying for hole through hole is fun, but a change is always nice. And an AR would make a nice change

AR's are sweet and actually not too expensive if you buy the pieces and build your own. they go together pretty easy, there's a couple tricky parts if you get a stripped lower receiver but once you've got an assembled lower and upper they click together with two pins...great design, fun little plinker, i definitely want an AR10 next

I have $865 in my build. about $90 is not factored in for the complete stock assembly I got for a freebie. But that isn't a "run of the mill" build. I also spent $100 more than most on trigger set up.

You can build a decent "truck" gun for about $600 with a mix of parts. Don't be afraid to buy used.

I didnt have $500 in the delton kits. And now i can get them for under 450.
But since i had 6 ARs i figured thats enough and decided to sell a couple and get more reloading stuff.
This one im talkin about, i have about $885 in. That includes the new barrel, trigger, handguard, scope, and rings.
My 6.8 i have about $750 in. That includes the black hole weaponry barrel and everything. Built it from spare parts and stuff.

but they still need a lower correct? Which is only $100 at most for the average, and some even cheaper.
