Default Ruger p95.

I have been debating on buying a gun for a year or so now. I finally decided to make a move for many reasons. I was wanting a .40 cal and most specifically the S-W MP40, only problem is cost. I didn't like the sub compact because the handle was too short, and the full size was well out of my price range.

After looking at some Taurus .40 cals I decided that the Ruger P95(9mm in case you didn't know) felt the best in my hand and with a price tag of $350 it was the one.

This is my first gun ever but not my first gun shooting at all. I have shot a few pistols and plenty of shotguns.

A ruger p95 is the the very first handgun I had and love it. I have got about 500 rounds out of it now with no issues. Bang for the buck they are a very good gun.

I bought a box of 50 last night. I plan to buy some more soon. Especialy so I can shoot it hopefully this weekend. The gun shop wasn't out but a friend just bought a 9mm at bass pro and he said they were out.

The area of town I live in I would consider a 7 out of 10 for safety but it apparently is getting worse. They drove from where ever they got shot home, that is 4 doors down from me. The Christmas lights flashing in the back of the "on site" video is my house. Problem is it doesn't seem to matter where you are bullets can be flying but when they are screwing around that close to home was one small piece of the decision to buy a gun.

I didn't hurt that Tuesday night I went to casino with $60 and 45 min later left the poker table with $915! Gave the old lady $500 to pay some stuff ahead and buy herself something and bought me a new toy!

With no one having anything bad to say that made me feel more confident about my purchase! Every single person I talked to had nothing but good to say about Ruger and the P95.

After owning it for a few weeks and shooting about 250 rounds I am still happy with my purchase.

I will say it is a great gun for the price! In the past weeks guys at work or friends have bought 7 pistols. Springfield .40, Rugerp94, Taurus millenniumnium pro(9mm), Glock .40, Glock19, S&W MP .40, and a springfield .45.

The Springfield .40 was the nicest and price was worth if I could aford it. Under $700 if I remember correctly.
The Glock .40 and S&W MP .40 were both a very close second and similar if price at around $600. If it came down to it I might save the $100 and get one of these because they are 99% as good as the Springfield.
The Glock 19(9mm) and the SF .45 I didn't like at all, they were top heavy and or not balanced at all.
The melenium pro is alright for a cary wepon maybe but there are better options in my opinion.
The Ruger P94 although older was actualy nicer then my P95, it had egonomics built into the grip and had a metal frame that wasn't much heavier then mine.

For my budget and amount I plan to shoot, the P95 was the best option for me. In the future I hope to sell or my Ruger and upgrade to either the Springfield or S&W .40.
