Default Remington VTR upgrades

Well I have been having a VTR 308 for a few years now and finally getting around to getting some stuff for it. So far it is just sporting a konus M30 6-25x44 scope and broke down today to order a stock to get rid of the crap that came on it. Also sent out the bolt for a new handle to be installed. Below is the gun, stock I ordered (Bell and Carlson Light Tactical), and bolt **** that will be milled for it only difference is mine will be hollow. Hopefully it will be a little more solid and just maybe tighten up the groups a little. As it sits with hsm BTHP 168gr it will shoot 3/4" groups all day long at 100 yards.

Gun now

Also just ordered an egw 15 moa base should make for plenty of adjustment. Hope everything will be in next week so I can start putting it back together and see what it will do.

I have shot it out to 600 once but it was the first time I had ever shot that far and I had a scope that was maxed out and ended up messing it up. Out to 300 it did good and at 100 it shoots .75-1" 3 round groups. Once everything gets in I want to try it again cause I know I have plenty of elevation now and lot better glass. Just have to find a range around the house that stretches that far.

I was really debating in between the 15 and 20 moa bases but I was worried about a 100 yard zero but now looking back scope has plenty of adjustment for a 20 moa or bigger base but 15 moa base should be more then enough for what I will ever shoot. Also running some 6 screw rings I want to say are weaver tactical. If I ever get good enough and have a spot to shoot farther I will deal with that then. Found a 300 yard range around the house but really want to get use to 600 yards and go from there. Good shooting from a stock gun for sure.
