Default Opinions on Bell and Carlson tactical stocks?

I have a Remington 700 sps varmint in .308 and I'm thinking about getting an aftermarket stock for it. I like the look of the bell and Carlson tactical stocks, these ones: Bell & Carlson Tactical Medalist Style 2 Remington 700 SPS BDL Savage 10/12 Weatherby Vanguard Howa 1500 Vertical Grip 2092, 2096, 2997, 2998 & 2999
Anyone have any experience with them? Gun shoots ok now but with a free floating barrel and bedded stock this should help out a lot more.
Feel free to recommend other stocks also. Trying to stay under 300$ on the stock.

they are on the bottom of the list for a tactical replacement stock. I ahve a Manners T4 with mini chassis and DBM and absolutely love it.

If you can swing a bit more I would strongly suggest getting a HS Precision from redhawkrifles.com or stockystocks.com. You could also look at a few few forums. I just sold my remington 5R stock (HS Precision made) for 250 and it was a new pull off. There are a few on snipershide for sale right now for under 300.

Either way you decide you can do the bedding job yourself if you have patience and a good set of dremel bits.

I had one on my sps varmint and it was nice. I shot out to 1,000yards with it and it did well. it's fairly heavy but had a nice fit to the action. The recoil lug might need to be bedded. I also used a wyatts drop mag system and it was a direct fit.
They are not the best but mid way in the scale of stocks. Its money well spent.

I know they're not really comparable to manner or McMillan but I figure it's a hell of a lot better than the one I have now. I'd think it's a good upgrade, but Ill go see if I can find a used higher quality one before I pull the trigger on this.

I'm with sprayed99. I also have a manners t4 and wouldn't have any different. Also have a hs precision that's pretty good and mcmillans are good as well but overpriced imo.
