I would pass on that bud. If it's got the capability to zoom to 32x and illumination all while costing under 400, then you can pretty much guess that there's something wrong with the package. If you're only out hunting hogs at 100 yards with a 223 then maybe it would be okay, but if you tried benchrest shooting with that on a heavier caliber, it may not turn out so well.

 

Loaded up some 308 last night and went to the range this morning. Think I got my loads pretty set. I went with 5 rounds of each load. Had 3 loads for each bullet weight, and 3 different bullet weights. So 45 rounds total.

Speer 168g with 45.5g of IMR 4064

and Hornady 178g A-max with 42.5g of IMR 4064

The rounds in the center of target #1 I was trying to sight it in at 100. Used Federal match 168g.

 

I tried 4064 with every bullet, primer and case i had, couldnt get it to group for nothing.
Ended up with varget and 175gr SMKs.


Also if your lookin at a decent priced scope thats nice. Check out vortex PST line.
I got to play with one a couple weeks ago and side by side comparison of it vs 3 diff nightforce models, milletts, bushnells, trijcon, and a nikon. I was really suprised!
At 1500yds i couldnt tell a diff between the vortex and nightforce until it started gettin dark. But it was still on its heels at a third the price.
