ahhh lol. i hope that he babies the **** out of that thing. those zuess scopes dont hold up well under extended wear and tear. they make great benchrest rifles, that travel in cases and the only time they are out is when they are being shot.. come down here to houston and ill show ya how to shoot it properly

lol, you two internet warriors are the only ones ive ever heard say anything about ziess. And Im not trying to waste money, I just put together a 204 cheaper than you can buy it. As well as the ziess was on sale. And one more note, my 250 yard shot will be at night with red spot lights, Id assume thats low light? lol.

I just assume if your going to do something, do it right.

You must really not like coyotes or you have issues sleeping.

haha. Its a lot of fun, especially if you have a nice rig, which we do. And I wanted a gun last summer and backed out, I was really close to ordering a ACR or scar.

And I have serious doubts about your showing me "how to shoot it properly"

My dad has one ziess, thats because he found out that swarovskis work just as good for hundreds less. Before bausch and lamb was discountinued they were IMO the best bang for the buck scope. We set up a bausch and lamb, ziess, swarovski, leupold varxiii, leupold lps, redfield widefield on the back of his porch and looked thorugh all of them as dusk set in. We aimed at the twists on the barbwire so we could see the resolution. The ziess had the best but just by a **** hair over the swarovski and the bausch and lamb was neck and neck with it. I was highly disappointed in the fairly expensive(for their performance) leupolds.

The the type of hunting youre talking about doing we just use iron sites, theyre good out to about 500 if you know how to use them, no need for a 2K scope

Then why arnt you on top shot billy bad ***. I really dont care. Ive never shot that far, and probably never will even try. I prefer to take the life of unexpecting animals.

And im not "loaded" lol, Corey was kidding. Im in school, were all poor.

Anyhoo, looking forward to getting the scope mounted and shooting it. Im a bit leary about the 24" barrel. Ive at least been told, they hurt the 223 AR ranges due to gas tube action timing overlaps.

Nice!!!
Ive never heard that bout the 24" rifle length gas system with .223. Most the guys i shoot with in Hi-Power matchs use the 24" with 7 twist barrels and they shoot awesome out to 600yds.

Scopes can be a big deal to some people, and alot are bias.
Use what you like and what works for you.

Ive been told alot of stuff about like you need this special hand made fiberglass stock or this $2000 Nightforce benchrest scope. But when i score higher than they do in a Fclass match with my "crappy" choate stock and millett 4-16 scope, i dont hear much after that. Also head spaced the barrel with a hand full of cases, after everybody said it wont work. 2.5" groups at 600yds with 15rds must not be enough proof.......

You plan on reloading? Those 204s are sweet but barrel burners

Oh and a factory rem 700 sps 270 with a millett 4-16 will do 8.5" groups at 1000yds. Just had to throw that out there. Haha
