Thanks for the links, that will get me started.

The XD came with a nice holster for CC. The more I think about it, I don't really need the light on it when I'm carrying. Besides, I usually only carry when I'm camping or hiking, and I use my 44 mag for that. This XD40 is for in the house. I got this thing for when things "go bump in the night".

I think I want to put a light on it, and get a mattress holster. I don't want to be fumbling around in a drawer by the bed, or trying to get to the gun cabinet, if you know what I mean.

I'd bet that if I could find a halfway decent holster that will work with a light mounted, I could use some lexan to build the piece that slips between the mattress & box spring. That would do the job well enough for me I think.

Does anybody else have/use a mattress holster?

I keep my 1911 sandwiched between the mattress and box springs. Along with one my strion HP. Grab both if i hear something go bump in the night. Usually keep the 44mag carbine in the corner.

Never thought bout usin a holster ha.

We have a 3 year old grandson that's in the house frequently. So, we don't have the guns just propped up in the corner by the door. But we have done that in the past.

Thanks for the link. I still don't see anything for the XD40 with a light. I'll have to try calling them when I have time.

Thanks for the suggestions guys.

Check with Blade-Tech, they are currently around 3 week back-ordered, they are around $80

I have one of these for my XDm .40 with Streamlight TLR-1s, fits perfectly, very secure, high quality.
