Default I am a shotgun lover

We took a bunch of shotguns up to PA this weekend (brand new dirt pile to shoot at, didn't want to use high powered stuff) and it took me a while, but I finally talked my 16yr old into shooting my Remington SP-10.

Im a big fan of shotguns too. Never shot a 10 gauge but would definitely like to add it to the armory. From Ive been told they dont kick too much more than high brass 3.5" 12 gauge though. You think thats a fair comparison?

yeh, pretty fair. The 10 is gas and has a monster cushion on it compared to my 870. Hell, my single shot 20 gauge with buckshot ******* kills your shoulder.

Here is vid the day before the 10 gauge when i was working my kid up to the 10. I had him shoot like 10 dove shells out of the 20 gauge. This vid is a 20 gauge buck shot. I of course didn't tell him.

THAT IS THE TRUTH! When I go duck hunting with the 10, I'll shoot a box or two of shells and it feels like I am shooting a BB gun. Next day I have f'ing bruises on my biceps for crying out loud. So excited to see ducks I throw the gun up and start shooting before i have it seated.

I had an old Stevens side by side in 10 gauge. HAD. For a reason. That thing was just ignorant.

Holy ****.

How much does an SP 10 run? First I've heard of it; my dad's cousin used to swear by his Browning 10-gauge but I didn't know Remington had a dog in that fight.

I wasn't raised in a "gun family", and never hunted so I didn't grow up with a shotgun. As I started to become a gun lover, getting a shotty for home defense and all around shooting was a MUST.
Never shot a 10g, that must kick like a mule.
I did do a little light "custom" work on my rem870, switching the furniture up and adding some hi-vis sights.

Used...750 to 1000. I bought mine new back in 2005 for 1200. I love it.
