Good, there have been quite a few people get ripped off by some Chinese fakes.

cool, but why would you throw a scope on one of the older model mini's?

because the iron sights suck...

and why not? What does the age have to do with wanting to see your target more efficiently?

You may be able to see it more effectively, but the older mini's lack in accuracy. I had an older model, and accuracy blew even with a scope. Now I have the newer model with the new profile barrel, and its ten times better. Doesnt come close to my BCM M16, but its accurate enough.

Baha the old Mini-14's were fun, but couldn't shoot minute-of-barn, inside a barn. The new ones with a bit of work can do A LOT better. I'm waiting for a deal to come up on one in 6.8.
