How do you think that would work on pigs? At what range? Ammo availability?

It would be a pig destroyer, my next build will be 300 or 6.5, then the other, I want all three 6.8, 300, and 6.5.

A boy can dream.

Nonnie, keep us updated. I still haven't really shot mine, finding mags is a PITA!

110gr vmax full power are Perfect for deer. Havent seen the 240gr at work yet.

We reload for everything so dunno bout ammo.

Yea 6.8 mags arent easy to find since CP went down. I bought mine from 44mag.com for dirt cheap.

Can somebody help me spec out a 300 upper. It will be used for pig hunting - eventually suppressed(AAC or Yankee Hill). Never messed with ARs. The upper will be mounted on a DPMS lower. No need for a SBR. Too many choices (CMMG, AAC, Noveski) in uppers not to mention accessories. What about optics?

Odds are the noveske is prolly gonna out shoot the others in terms of accuracy.
But for under 150yds 2moa is plenty good for deer and hogs.

If it were me, id peice one together. Blackholeweaponry.com has some decent prices and quality is up there close to noveske.

But right now with the 300BO being all the hit, a complete upper is gonna be not cheap.

A 223 will put a pig down just the same as the 300bo. Unless you just want something you can shoot subsonics suppressed thru and cycle then the 300bo is the ticket.

Depends on how far you wanna shoot, if all your gonna do is 50yds then a good reddot will work. If your goin 200yds or better then something like the tasco 2.5-10x42 target/varmint scope for 55$ is a good choice, it has a mildot recticle and is pretty tough.
