Hey guys. This lady has a 03 Escalade. Was driving. And all of a sudden shut off. So, checked fuel, pump comes on. Has good pressure. So, pulled a plug. No spark. Tried a new crank sensor. No luck. With the old sensor, I turned the engine over by hand and could hear the fuel pump prime and such with every turn. So I'm assuming it's getting signal from the CKS? I tried seeing if the volts would pulse to see if the sensor is bad, but I don't think I had a good connection.

Could a Cam sensor cause no start as well?

What codes do you have set/pending?

And the fuel pump isn't supposed to prime with every rotation, either.

I tried a new CKS, but still no luck.... No codes came up.

Well. I'm using a old hand held tuner, notala scanner, and nothing came up under saved codes, but "codes after css" or something, I had 49 codes. Everything from the MAF to MAP and CMS and CKS sensors showed faults.

Kind of sounds like a ground strap broke off. Have you checked all the ground points/cables/straps?

Get yourself a halfway decent code reader, preferably one that can display code definitions from P0001-1000. If you can spend more money, get one with manufacturer-specific definitions from P1001-2400.

You need to clear ALL the codes and then see what codes come back as pending/set. Autozone will do loaner programs sometimes on their scan tools, you pay for it and then return it when done.

check the ground wire on the front right side of the block behind the p/s pump. when i did a rebuild mine would inject fuel but no spark.. that one wire was the problem it wasnt connected

I've got power to the coils. And the pinkish red wire at the coil has power.

Also checked the ground. It was fine.

Ok. I'm getting power and signal power to the coils. But when I put my test light on positive and check the ground at the coils, I'm not getting a ground. I've checked all ground at the back of the heads and suck.
