Default Wiring harness plug removal?

Is there an easy way to remove plugs on our harnesses? I don't know if you need a special tool or what?

I need to replace the gear selector switch plug. The end was melted somehow and the reverse lights won't work. Thanks guys

So you want to remove the terminals from the connectors? If so, get one of these: delphi 12094429

Google it.

If you are trying to get the plug out of the backup light switch spray the connector with some carb cleaner to soften the epoxy and then slowly and carefully pull rearward on the plug.

I can get the plug out of the backup switch. I was just wondering how to get the wires out of the plug.
