But wouldn't they be required to have it posted right on the pump, that it contains ethanol? I know at any RF Store pump I haven't seen one. I was just Googling around the internet and found several stories referencing "Winter blended fuels"

Gas prices decline in area - Cecil Whig: Business

Rising Crude Prices, Switch to Summer Blends Leads to Higher Prices at the Pump - Essex-Middle River, MD Patch

From what I could gather in some other more in depth stories, it seems that the blend has something to do with the way gasoline evaporates or some ****, lol...too technical for a dumb old steelworker.

All I know is this...
I lost 2-3 MPG's since beginning of this month and stickers on new Farm Store around the corner specifically says that Oxygenated fuel is there from November through February...I also know that come March or so, the mileage will come back without touching a thing...it sucks.

Question

John, DMM or whomever can answer, should I reset my stoich to match the E10 gasoline? Right now it is at stock setting of 14.68xxx.

If I do, will I have to re-do my fueling settings (VE, PE, MAF) as well?

Sorry man, that will only use more fuel by going to 14.422535...but it will run better with better throttle response. Have to remember that the Stoich for pure Ethanol is around 9.0:1 vice 14.68100:1 for gas.

There is no way around it, you are going to use more fuel for comparable power/performance.

Crap...makes me want to just leave it be since I'm pretty happy with how it runs. I'm already losing mileage for this "winter blend" gas so I may just leave well enough alone.

I live in California and could get 18mpg out of my 2007 Silverado 4.8 on the summer blend....
I took it to Hot August Nights, in Reno, filled up in Reno and got almost 21 mpg on Nevada gas!

Have you tried Shell? I thought that all of their premium gas, even if the 87 contains ethanol, was 100% gas. I guess it could be just around these parts but might be worth looking into.
