Default Wideband setup in hptuners

I have a PLX wideband hooked up to the EGR port so I can log it in hptuners.

My equation for hptuners is ([PID.2811]/0.5)+10.15, pid.2811 being the EGR.

Problem with this is, I am getting inconsistent results comparing my wideband logged error to the stock narrowband error. Shouldnt these be pretty close in non-pe areas, or at least, have some resemblance?

I made a ~80min log of interstate driving (approximately 9000 hits in the 6250 cell), and filtered out any PE or DFCO, then made a graph in excel, which looked like this:

I have tuned my MAF off the wideband, so naturally its pretty close, but the difference in not only the results, but the general shape bothers me since I will eventually be going FI and dont want to have to worry about if my WB is lying to me or not...

Any suggestions?

Did you search the HPT forum for similar problems?
That's what usually helps me with inconsistency like that.

Yea, I posted this over there as well to see what they say as well.
The general conscious I gather just from reading is widebands are a hit and miss, and short of replacing mine there isnt a whole lot that can be done...

I was hoping some modification of the logging equation would help or at least get it "close enough", within 3% is good enough for me...

Are you positively sure that your equation is correct and if so did you check to make sure that you dont have any voltage offsets?

Yea, the equation above is the standard equation to use. Usually just a little tweaking of the offset is required (+.15 in my case) to get the guage and hpt to line up. Problem is the gauge and hpt switch too fast to see if they are in line or not.

Hmm, if you had the pro version you could probably just go ahead and use the "voltage offsets" fix in the help files over on hptuners forum.

My truck is down right now but when I get it back up and running this week i have been working on a couple of custom histograms to check voltage offsets if somebody is running a wideband via egr, a/c. I will do some testing and see how it works but i think it should, if so i will show you how to set it up.
