Default Wideband sensor location??

Any ideas where to put the sensor?? I have pacesetter LT's, and their y-pipe. I bought the Innovate LM1. I was thinking right at the y.

IMO you should mount it as close to the header as possible. I had problems when I mounted mine after the Ypipe. The WB was slower to react and EFILive was allready in a different cell. For tuning purposes I would mount it as close to the header as possible, it if is mearly for looks and basic observation then mount it after the ypipe.

If I put the wide band close to the headers, wouldn't it only read one bank??

I moved this to the GM tuning section even though we're talking O2 placement in the exhaust.

Most run the sensor right behind the collector on the driver's side. Yes, it only reads one bank, the bank with the usually leaner condition from 'ol #7.

Sensor location should be at 10 or 2 : o clock position to keep condensation from settling and causing failure but mine is at 6:00 and still working fine.

Here is a very good site for information on O2 sensor locations and operation, Most after market wide bands use the Bosch LSU sensor and they don't like a lot of heat and pressure so in a forced induction set up with cats you are better to put it behind the cat. I know this sounds wrong but believe me I have tested both ways and it is much more accurate behind the cat away from heat and back pressure and at WOT the cats really don't scrub much at all, I would say .2 of a AFR at most. The nice thing is you can just use a rear factory O2 bung and turn the sensor off in your tuning software and you won't even need to have a extra bung installed. http://wbo2.com/lsu/position.htm For location and a more technical PDF http://wbo2.com/lsu/lsuinstal.pdf
and info on pressure and heat http://wbo2.com/lsu/default.htm

If your running cats I would put it behind them but if not the collector will be fine. The main thing with Nitrous is learn to read those spark plugs like your engine depends on it.
