Default wideband

Does the end of the sensor have to be right in the exhuast stream or is it to be shrouded up out of it.

uhhhh... the sensor has to be reading the exhaust. So you will drill a hole into your exhaust pipe on the driver side just back from the front O2 sensor, Weld on a bung, and screw in the new o2 for the wideband.

here's a pic. I'm not sure why you think it needs to be "Shrouded up OUT of the exhaust" that just doesn't make any sense. Wouldn't it be reading regular air then?

before we welded it in the exhaust when it was screwed into the bung it was flush with the end so its not right in the exhaust stream.
