Wide Band W/ HPT

Brian, if you want an 02 wideband that is portable friendly, the LC-1 is not for you. Get the LM-1 instead.

Yeah I missed a ground to the NB side, but luckily I figured it out before using it. Mines been in and working for a few months now. Been pretty good too.
I like the cost, but like Tiburon said its not very easy to move from vehicle to vehicle.

I have an LM-1 and an LMA-3. This pretty much covers it. The LMA-3 is a customizable 5-channel analogue input box. Built into it are X and Y accellerometers you can use as channels and a 3-bar MAP sensor you can just connect up a hose to. This box can accept Tach, TPS, duty cycle and even EGT signals. For tech it even has an inductive pickup if you would prefer to use that. Splice your factory sensors and run a vac line to it and you have every channel of data you need to build fuel maps. It will recond 44 minutes of 12 samples per second.

I have never had any problems out of my LC-1 and I have it set up for portability. Buy a cigarette lighter plug for the 12v power and cut holes in the box it comes in and install the light and calibration button out the side of the box. Cut a slot in one corner so the wires can run out with the box closed up. Then when you aren't using it just coil all the wires back up in the box.
Works great for portability.

So are you using the LMA-3 with HPT? If so, how do you get the two to jive with one another? I've never read anything about the LMA-3 working with HPT. I might have to head over to thier forum.
Seems like a nice way to get a 3bar MAP and a WB on my truck. You guys with the LC-1: Have any of you used the AFR % error function in HPT? If so, how well does it work? Since so many of you guys have fried them, are there any tips or tricks you can explain to the rest of us so we don't join "the club"?

I use it stand-alone. The only tuning system available for my truck (Vortec 350) is TunerCATS, which I do have. The combination of the LMA-3 and LM-1 povide all the data I need to adjust my VE tables.

It worked great... for about 2 days.
LC-1 number 2: 3 weeks and still going strong!
