I am just curoius if you have tuned or had a 5.3 tuned. Did it make a real noticable difference? What did you have done? Did you tune on dyno or at the track. What number improvements did it make?

There's a WHOLE lot to be gained by getting a better tune!

I have EFILIVE, but am basically wondering whether or not tuning has made a huge difference on the 5.3 in the trucks? My buddy wants me to play with his truck, but I don't know if it is really worth the time or not. That is why I am asking what kind of performance difference it has made.

I have not started tuning on the truck yet, I was just asking if anyone noticed any measurable gains.

I've heard up to 35rwhp from a tune alone in some cases. SO a good tune can be better than a good cam.

The 5.3 react really good to a tune. a buddy of mine had his tuned and his truck became a monster. He eventually put a shift kit in it and a l35 converter and now it is a drifting machine.
