Right...it did that the entire week or so that I ran it last year, while the original was at nelson. Then I put it on a box on the shelf for a year, and now when I plugged it back in, it seems to work 100%. Eh, maybe I didnt go for a long enough drive or something.

Charlie, the PCM is on its way to you overnight, you should have it 10am tomorrow. Hopefully you can turn it around so I get it before the weekend. IF not then Monday is okay too.

A recap of a couple questions...should my stock 6.0 injectors be sufficient for this setup (mods in sig) or do I need 8.1's?

Do I need a shift kit, or will your adjustments in the tune be sufficient? The converter did not soften the shifts up too much, but I wouldnt mind to stiffen it up a bit at WOT. I do not want it to shift like a corvette in traffic, as I routinely haul my wife's family to dinner and such.

If a shift kit is strongly recommended, where is the best (and quickest) vendor to obtain it?

You should be ok for now with your injectors but it would not hurt to get some 8.1's
I will work with the line pressure for you also, especially at WOT
I would install a vette servo, you would probably like that just fine and with the tune it will shift nice at WOT
If you want it much more then a shift kit would be wise.
But I would hold off until you see how you like this PCM when you get it back
Iw ill be here when it gets here in themorning.I will probably be able to get it out the same day NOT sure though
you should have it by saturday either way though

yes, at my request. When I did the fans, I didnt even have the ls6 in yet. I didnt feel the need for a tune at that time. I mainly did the fans not for a power gain, but to help the a/c work better in traffic in the summertime...the clutch fan sucks for that. I could get the fans turned on for 25 bucks or I could pay $250 for a tune and the fans turned on. At the time I had no significant mods to warrant a tune.

well i have a w4me tune.. and to be honest its the best money i have spent.. i really like the outcome.. for a stock truck though.. i only have the k &n and exhaust but man what a difference... i have had it for about 16,000 miles.. no problem.. i would suggest w4me to anyone that wants a lil more power to add to a "stock" truck.. now to you guys that have gone into the engine cam, etc.. wheatly looks to be on it.. i was gonna switch over to wheatly also.. but for what??? how much more can i get out of a tune with a stock truck.? so if your gonna run a pretty stock truck i would go w4me 160 bucks... and if you are really changing things in your engine and so on wheatly..

Check my sig for what Wheatleys tune has done for my 4.8L. Intake, exhaust, headers, tune, mid 14s in an ext cab. I think I will stay with Charlie.
