Even though I havent had the best of luck getting through to him (which is why I tuned my SS somewhere else), I am trying to get him to tune my 2002 RCSB. I am gonna test how good his service really is . I've been wanting to tune for a couple weeks now and I NEED to have it by this coming FRIDAY. If he can have it to my by Friday, I'll be

I don't think you can go wrong with any of them. I happen to have a BB tune. But from reading this forums and others GM based forums, both Nelson and Wheatley have a a good following.

I have a BB tune as well and love it. He has just gotten really busy lately which is really good because he is a great tuner and a great guy to deal with. So if you do happen to go with a black bear tune by chance send him an email before to see how backed up he is that way your not waiting for a long time to get it.
I just got my tune a month ago and I was in the same exact boat as you are now deciding on a tuner. I decided black bear because it was faster since just had to buy another license for my buddys autocal. A very close second was Nelsons, only reason being is I liked his site better and it looked more like a business. Not bashing wheatly because I am sure he does a great job as well. Just stating my opinion. Good luck with your decision can't go wrong with any of those 3 just don't go to some guy local that does it out of his truck. Probably wont come out good.

One thing to keep in mind is that you are purchasing a product and it is yours.
I feel that a "tuner locked" PCM is something that you don't have full ownership of.
I personally don't lock PCM's and we have unlocked several for forum members that were not 100% satisfied with what they had purchased.

Hmmm...this is going to be a hard choice but I feel like either will do the trick. I may go Nelson just because of more info on the site as one guy previously stated. I'd love to learn how to tune myself. Anyone know where to start on that? lol

Both of then are great. I've had a nelson tune for close to 8 years now and while he can be a bit hard to get ahold of he does a great job. I've heard the same about Wheatley, and I've known him for a while. They're both good and they're both very busy. That's a good sign though, if they're busy, they're good

Ask them if they will not lock your tune.

If you purchase EFILIve or HPT forums will help you a lot. If you purchase JET's DST you will need Scanware at additional cost.

You could be money ahead buy purchasing HPT or EFILIve and a starter tune.
A starter tune in this case would be a good off the shelf tune that would be close and SAFE. Something like a tune from the mentioned companies and then you can tune it in. We offer a starter tune and support so you can tune in confidence. I feel the HPT is a better package for a beginner. You can always sell it after you are done tuning.

We could even supply a tune from a PCM that we have unlocked if you want one of those tunes
