Always go with a local tuner over mail in tunes.

I've also heard alot of good stuff about Synergy.

Go for it man!
Just be careful, once you start this modding stuff, it doesn't end. Trust us.

I agree with the last two posts, go with a local tune over a mail order tune. I have played this game once before when I started tuning my truck and saw the biggest difference in my truck performance with a local tune. Watch out though, once you start tuning it becomes addictive. I have spent probably around $500 so far in tunes, not including the dyno tune that I am working on (once I get my truck up and running again).

Thanks for your help guys. Does anyone know roughly the prices at Synergy?

If I do go for a tune, I think I am going to wait a little since I will be working more hours now that it is summer time.

Do you guys have any opinions about Black Bear Performance?

Justin at blackbear is a very knowlegable tuner. With his cable option it is close to a in person tune. I would THINK that prices could point more towards him anyway.

Ya, I was looking at that option he has earlier today and I was thinking a lot about it.

So he sends you a cable and some software that you load on a laptop and you drive around and run your truck and then you send that back to him where he then makes the tuned PCM off of that data? And that part is the refundable deposit?

Then he sends you your tuned PCM and you swap it right in?
