Unlocking E85 DIY 6.2 2014
So once I get the tuning worked out I’ll make a bigger post. But I’ve got about 50 dollars into a E85 sensor and install. I copied what the guy did below with a few changes because I had a crew cab instead of regular cab.
Ok so my question, in his video he is unlocking E85 on a 2018 5.3 by just copying and pasting from a stock 5.3 with E85 already. Since I have a 6.2 I’m guessing I shouldn’t copy the AFR from a 5.3. Should I try and find any 6.2 with E85 already unlocked. This his the guys part 2 on the tuning

In the scanner do I need to scan for
alcohol %
or
Ethanol fuel%
or both
The reason I ask is in the scanner I can get alcohol % channel to show up
but
Ethanol fuel % is there but it grayed out and I can't find it when I search for it. All that shows up in alcohol %.

Once I loaded the new tune with E85 enabled the scanner switch over and let me log both channels. This shot was my test with 5 gallons of 93 and 5 gallons of E85.
