I think foff is saying it isn't geared towards you though. You'd just slow the class down by wanting to know more than the list in my post above.

I didn't mean to sound like a dick, "you'd be slowing the class down", it was more of saying you know to much already. Yes, everybody does have an opinion. Not trying to **** everyone off, report back what the class is like.

I was under the impression that the basic class doesn't even get into SD tuning so it will be interesting to know what happens in the class.

I have NO clue what it entails and only doing the obvious, babbling over the internet about something I know nothing about (the class structure). Just noting it seems expensive. HOWEVER it does seem like a lot is included. I guess knowing a little already makes me one sided.

Features of the class include:

- The basics of how to use the HP Tuners software.
- What tables need to be changed for your tuning needs.
- What the tables mean, how to understand and adjust them properly.
- What the common ranges are for the tables that are being adjusted.
- How the basic fuel injection system works.
- The right order of tuning, featuring when to adjust Fuel, Spark, etc...
- How to do your tuning on the Dyno. Instruction will occur at a dyno facility at the end of the second day.

The Live Class also includes:

- The Tuning the Right Way: A Beginner's Guide to Tuning GM Vehicles with HP Tuners Software workbook (sample pages: page 9 / page 37-38 / page 187)
- The Tuning Checklists
- The Tuning School Tuning Tree (a map of table locations)
- Breakfast and lunch are provided both days
- Instructors available for further discussion at dinner in a local restaurant
- Discount hotel stay at the seminar location

Any idea how to attain that book? sorry i found it $449.

Man forgot all about this post ahhaa

well if your into cars then take the class as it was all about the GTO, but if your going to do the home course then it would be very interesting to the beginner and medium tuner, he does have other courses for moderate and advanced class or books not sure on it, I left during the dyno session because I was sick all weekend and just couldn't take the climbing up and down of the stairs there heehe, met casper08(edgar of exxcessive motor sports) there as well, nice meeting you and hope to do some business from you guys (NOS)

All in all he is very knowledgeable of HPTUNERS as well as other tuning software, but when I talked to him about the class it seemed to cover trucks and cars, but the class was consumed by GTO car tuning, with the class 11-2-2 in vehicles the gto's won ahhaahaa, most of the class were shop owners wanting to know how to tune there masterpieces they build instead of paying other people and they were great to listen too hahhaaa.

So the short story is: if you don't know how to tune take the class in person, if you have the theory down talk the home course, it breaks it down pretty good.
