This may be a simple question but I'd rather be safe than sorry. I've been having issues with the truck lurching and stalling occassionally and am ordering a new pcm from my tuner (Wester's, have a lifetime warranty so what the hell). I've got an 02 ls6 cam and springs on the way that I won't be able to install for a couple of weeks, is it ok to get the pcm tuned for the cam now and drive it with the stock cam? I know there isn't alot of difference between the 2 but want to know if this will cause any problems. Thanks

If you have knock sensors and fuel trims the pcm can account for some error in the tune. I wouldn't feel great about holding anything at WOT without knowing what the fuel ratio is if you don't have a wideband.
