tuning ?

I have a question for you guys and just looking for some feedback and thoughts. I have taking the truck to have it dyno tuned. I go to pick the truck up yesterday and myself and the tuner go drive the truck to adjust the shift points. Well right off the bat when I lay into the gas I new something wasnt right. For ex.. from lets say a 30 roll, when you lay into it and it builds boost up in the high rpms the truck makes a pop out of the exhaust and power gos away then comes right back. In 2nd gear from say a 50 roll it does the same thing. He says there is no knock, timing is set at 16* with 10psi. Afrs are mid 11s. I know he will get this worked out but just courious what you guys think. On the dyno in 3rd gear the truck made 486/499. Thanks Nick, sorry for the long post.

Sounds like to me that the truck is not getting enough fuel on throttle tip in. Popping in my experiences have been a lean condition and bogging is a rich condition but of course without datalogs its hard to say...could have been bouncing off rev limiters in the fueling tables, etc. Without knowing all the details its hard to say but I'd say check out the tip in fuels first make sure you are getting enough there.
