I have a 5.3 4X4 that i just put Pace LT's on i brought it by a shop that normally do camaros/trans am not trucks and they tuned out the back o2's and put +3 in the timing. What else could they do to it so i can get more power and MPG for town/highway use? Any help would be great.

 

well if that's really all they did then there is a lot left in the computer. the first thing i would do is have them remove your torque management and abuse mode. also, for fuel mileage i would have them increase the rate that deceleration fuel cutoff engages. i think that just adding 3 degrees of timing to the entire spark map is way too basic. if your tuner doesn't know how to do any of this stuff or isn't willing then i would say find yourself a new tuner or buy software and learn to do it yourself.

+1 or any of the board sponsers... They really should have tuned your VE and MAF tables, spark being dead last... Just adding 3* of timing without touching anything else is probably zero gain, at least IMO...
