Check out mailordertuner.com also. Casey also has a shop in Temple called SWG Automotive. He has tuned remotely for me on my old truck and was phenomenal to work with. He does a lot of, if not all, the tuning for Texas-Speed and their race cars.

Cold air inductions air intake with ceramic coated inside. Replaced wet filter with donaldson powercore. Ls3 throttle body. (Overkill) intake hole widest point is alittle over 89mm. Hooker blackheart shorty headers jethot ceramic polish. Custom exhaust H pipe into a borla pro XS Dual in dual out with built in X inside dumped before the axle. Not alot of mods. Just bolt ons. You guys with big bucks have cam swaps 😅. Saving up for a l96 6.0.

Spending $600-650 for a tune with those few mods is IMO ridiculous. And I've been tuning since 2004.

Justin from Blackbear had done a few tunes for my truck over the last 10yrs or so - both a basic tune & multiple datalogged street tunes. very happy with those results.
Bret at LS Performance in Forney (east of Dallas) did a fantastic job with my car (mostly vettes but would likely do a truck), if you'd prefer in-person or dyno.
Nelson Performance was another that was huge with LS1truck forum

Yeah probably. Damn near the same no matter where you go maybe 100-150 less. Might be a OCD thing or piece of mind kind of thing for me really.

I thought about black bear. Have to pay for the core if you don't have one data log. Also don't forget to do a relearn when reinstalling new ecu. Or buy that tuning device. I forgot. It costs almost the same doesn't it for blackbear??? And for dyno on those other guys price is about the same?

Scaling the MAF, adjusting PE and spark is about all that's needed with those few mods. Why not spend that money on HP Tuners, credits and a wideband to do it yourself? After you get more familiar with data logging and using the VCM editor you'll be ready for other mods like a performance camshaft. Heck I'm old, senile and borderline retarded and doing speed density on mid to larger camshaft tunes on my junk.

Well don't own a laptop. Would it be better to get a street tune for 300 from a local tuner then spend close to 700?
