Default Tune Problem!

i recieved my tune today from nelson performance... i installed it and my truck and when i went to start it, the motor turns over for a sec and then nothing... i turned the ignition off and then tried it again and the same thing happened.... it does this over and over.... on allen's website they have a section for a key/pass relearn that they told me to do.... when doing the key/pass relearn, they said to wait 5 min or longer and the security light should then go off... turn the ignition off for 20 sec and then do the process again... i noticed that my security light did not stay on for the 5 min but only for a few seconds after i first tried to crank it.... i sent him my core unit so this is a major prob for me... i know that the explanation is not that clear but if you kinda know what im talking about, your help would be appreciated!

Unplug the PCM and plug it in again. Follow the instructions for the "key re-learn" very carefully. It's very unerving, i know. Good luck!

tried everything again... it says on the nelson's website that the security light will stay on(should take longer than 5 min) and when it goes off to then turn the ignition to off wait 20 sec and then do it agian... one of the prob is that me security light never comes on... well it does for about 1 sec and then goes off... the only light that is steady on is my service engine light... after doing the cylce still nothing.... think it is still something i'm doing wrong?

it has to be the anti-theft feature... i don't have an alarm system or a special key with a chip... if i take this to a dealer would they be able to clear it?

Yes, what he said...the security flashes on and off for 9 minutes then does something internal on the 10th minute. So wait the full 11 minutes or even 12.

1. First, insert the ignition key and turn the ignition switch to the “On” position (Do not start the engine). Leave the switch on for 11 minutes. The security light may flash or be on steady during this 11 minute period. Make sure the light is no longer on or flashing before proceeding to #2 .
2. Turn the ignition switch off for 30 seconds.
3. Turn the ignition switch to the “On” position (as in step #1) for 11 minutes again.
4. Turn the ignition switch off for another 30 seconds.
5. Turn the ignition switch to the “On” position for 11 minutes a third time.
6. Turn the ignition switch off for 30 seconds one final time.
7. Turn the ignition switch to the “On” position one final time and wait 30 seconds.
8. Attempt to start the engine. If the engine starts and runs normally, the relearn is complete. If the engine does not start, check for trouble codes and address them before attempting the relearn procedure again.
