Default The Tune File Thread?

Not sure if we have had one in the past.

I am far from a good tuner, and I'm always looking to learn. I'm well aware that no two trucks should have the same tune, although it would be nice to see how people's tune files compare.

Do we have such a thread where you can compare tunes? I realize there is the HoldenCrazy website for EFI Live, but it is dated and there are only 2 or 3 modified Silverado tunes.

I figured this wouldn't be too bad of an idea as long as people realize that tunes from other people's vehicles should be observed and not copied.

Maybe use something like Rapidshare to upload the tuning files and then add in a bit of information about each truck?

It's just a thought, if it's flawed, then by all means let me know.

This site supports the uploadin of .bin files i believe. I like the idea and if people were inclined to share it would be helpful for comparisons. HPT has the repository and it's helpful but to have a truck only database would be awesome.

I say we create a sticky sorta like the FTL, you fill out a form with your trucks information and attach the tune.... Someone should police the thread to keep retarded comments out of it but IMO it would be pretty nice!

I agree, but like anything there is good information and there is poor information. Being able to decipher between the two is the tricky part. I think it would be interesting to see what other people's tunes look like. At the very least, maybe someone might point out some issues with my tune.

Ok, Bill said we should go ahead with this idea and create a sticky.. So lets start gathering some info... The first post in the sticky could be an ever growing post that will have a small detail but linked to the users post which contain the entire mod list and tune. So please post up what yall think the Mod List Template should include. It should be similar to the FTL mod template but a little be more detailed.

engine combo
na or fi and how much boost
rear gear and tire size
stall size
octane
what deleted out of the tune
sd or not

there would have to be a good size list I would think to each tune and you would have to make sure not to forget anything about your setup. just thinkin about mine I dont have that much dont to the truck but when you factor in tuning it it does.
