Try this again! TFT signal
#1
I have a 6.0 with 4l80e transmission installed in my 71 Chevy truck.
I bought the scan gauge 2 to keep a eye on things and I can't get the TFT reading. I got it saved under both setting per the instructions. 1 for 2003 and older vehicles and the 2004 and newer vehicles but it's not showing anything.
I know I have the grey connector on the drivers side of transmission and the L terimnal should be the TFT wire signal which is a purple wire going to the ECU at pinout 30. If this is true and the wire is there then why do I not have a tempature reading? Do I need something turned on in the tune?
If the wiring isn't in place (stand alone wiring harness) then all I need to do is run a wire to the pinout and the reading should be there... correct? Are will I need to have something in the tune turned on before it reads the TFT signal?
