Default Truck Won't Start....hptuners

Ok well here is my problem..i threw in a new pcm, loaded up the tune via Write Calibration Only and upon doin so no start.
Tried to write the entire vcm...still no start.
Tried to redo the vats or whatever no start then tried the write the vcm again..nothing.
Read the entire vcm and the tune is on the vcm.......?

Basically i can turn the key on fuel pump primes and everything else.
turn the key it turns over and basically starts for about a 1/4 of a second and kills.
Once it kills i can hear the fuel pump prime up again like it had turned off when i tried to start it or something.....?
What would cause this is there something inparticular i can look at to see whats goin on?
Thanks alot guys.

I don't know if it matters but did you change the VIN in the new pcm to match your truck? Not sure if the write entire changes the VIN or not.

I think you need to do a security relearn on it, since its a different PCM

1. Turn the key on to start the engine, then release the key to the ON position.
2. The security light will flash for 10 minutes then go off.
3. Turn key OFF after security light has stopped flashing.
4. Leave the key off for 30 seconds or so. Not sure if you have to wait but it won't hurt. Repeat steps 1 to 3 for 2 more times for a total of 3 attempts. The vehicle should start on the 4th attempt. This procedure takes at least 30 minutes. The battery should be fully charged and deliver more than 10 volts.

This sounds probably like what you need to do...

You can check the VIN under the edit menu under Calibration details, but I think the write entire should have taken care of that. If not there is a change vin tool in the Flash menu, just check the help file on how to properly use it if you end up needing it.

It doesn't always happen, but sometime the BCM get pissed at a new PCM and say's nope, not gona start unless you prove your a legit PCM, lol. All the mail order guy give these instructions with the PCMs they send out just in case. It's hit or miss...

then turn the key off for about 30 seconds.
