truck shuts down randomly

Interesting i had no idea that any pre 03 truck had ECT..Anywho any update yet??

I'm going to try a retune tonight.....I'm very confident the issue will be resolved.

It's just difficult because we are on completely opposite work schedules so time to make updates is here and there.

Not for nothing, but I would have just gotten a 90mm cable throttle body and been done with it...I don't understand the need to switch to DBW when there are good cable tb's available

Hope that you get the tuned squared away though...ever thought about contacting Charlie Wheatley or Justin from BlackBear? Not bashing Michael or nothing (well, maybe just a little bit ), but these guys are pros and could probably resolve your issues with their eyes closed

Sounds like some idle airflow tables need tweeked, mine did this once in awhile once i switched to the ls3 tb. Idle airflow and throttle follower cleared it up if i recall.

good thing i looked in here i was about to start my own thread.. andy im having same exact issues the 9.5 3600 makes tunning hard.. ive messes with desired airflow and it hasnt fixed it. about to follow what BlackGMC said and decrease the decay.. gonna try it out c if that works..

The truck comes from the factory with an electronic TB.

Anyways, the issue is resolved, truck is running well per AndyC3.

He certainly is welcome to contact one of those tuners, but I doubt they're going to tune for free.
