Default Truck pulling timing when A/C cycles ?

Man been having an issue for a while now with the a/c killing the truck when it cycles, it's a 2000 rcsb, 5.3, bolt ons, camshaft etc, so took it to my tuner and the crazy thing is pulling timing when the a/c tries to come on and bring the idle of the truck SO FAR DOWN IT ABOUT CHOKES, the funny thing is you can drive it a couple of miles and it acts fine, I bought the truck with the heads off of it and the motor had just been put back in and the guy told me he may have pinched the wires going to the compressor going back in with it, got another pcm thinking about putting it in and just dumping the tune in it and trying it, any ideas ? THANKS!

Theres a table in the PCM that controls the timing when the ac clutch is engaged, if its stock it shouldn't be an issue though. Is the compressor locked up? Take off the ac belt and turn on the ac and see if it still does it. If it does, then its electrical/tune related. If its fine with the belt off then you have a mechanical problem.

I had a similar issue with my truck except it was pulling timing in d,3,1....2,r,n it was fine, tuner said it had something to do with torquemanagement so he tuned it out completely, it cleared up with that but id rather have some torque management in place than having none at all, now i have no way to figure out what was causing it until i get my own hptuners and turn the babysitter back on and figure it out....

What section do you want it moved to? This one seems like the right one...
