Like the title says- when you are in tow mode (performance tables) AND you have the cruise control on (Cruise tables), WHICH tables are in control?

I have some undesirable downshifting over small hills that occurs when I tow with the cruise on. Planning to drop the downshift speeds some... but which table?

This is the 6.0 4L80E.

I'm pretty sure the cruise tables over ride the tow haul mode, but it could use a combination of both....

 

I don't know the answer.
But, you could find out by trying some different settings, and watching the scanner carefully.

 

Hot shift tables take precedence over all.
Tow Haul/Performance take precedence over Normal & Cruise
Cruise takes precedence over Normal when activated.

I am thinking about tweaking the performance tables to make it almost like a manual trans- e.g. stay in whichever gear you put the selector in.
Anyone done this and have any comments?
